Music Trips

Music students across all Key Stages have had the opportunity to visit a range of performances each year, and the school greatly benefits from relationships with various London music and theatre organisations to facilitate this busy programme of excursions. These trips have recently included attending London Schools Symphony Orchestra at The Barbican, the West End production of Wicked, a Piano Masterclass with Lang Lang at the Royal College of Music, the Odyssey Festival Orchestra at Cadogan Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall (including an opportunity to meet the musicians,) an Open Dress Rehearsal of various musical theatre productions including 9 to 5: The Musical, Spring Awakening and The Spelling Bee by Trinity Laban, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Aurora Orchestra at The Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at The Royal Albert Hall, a GCSE Music Set Works Concert by Trinity Laban at Blackheath Halls and Tina: Tina Turner The Musical (which included an exclusive workshop that seeks to promote backstage careers in the theatre industry).
