Another year of fantastic GCSE results
Hatcham College are immensely proud of the achievements of their Year 11 students who produced a really strong set of results this year:
- Nearly a third of all grades were a grade 7
- Between 10-30% of all grades in Mathematics, English, History, German, Spanish, Latin, Art & Design, Graphics, Music, Music Technology, Photography, Textiles & RS were grades 7-9.
- Over 1 in 5 students achieved grade 7s in both Maths and English
- Over half of our students achieved a grade 7 in the separate sciences and there was a 100% pass rate
As with the A-Level results, they compare extremely well with 2019, which was the last ‘normal’ year of public examinations and demonstrate significant progress of the cohort compared to their starting points at the beginning of the year. The number of students achieving grade 7+ in both English and Maths has increased by 7% and at grade 5+ by 6%.
The following students attained exceptionally well:
- Fenna – nine 9s and one 7
- Ula – seven 9s and three 8s
- Isabella - eight 9s and one 8 and one 7
- Charlie - six 9s and 3 8s
- Benji - six 9s and two 8s
- Maya-Angel - five 9s, three 8s and one 7
- Mickey - five 9s, two 8s and one 7
- Milo - five 9s, four 8s and one 7
- Louie - four 9s, four 8s and one 7
- Archie – four 9s and four 8s
- Kehinde - four 9s, four 8s and one 7
- Ethan –three 9s and six 8s
- Ben – five 9s, two 8s and one 7
There were exceptional performances from many of our students in terms of progress. The following students achieved between more than 1-4 GCSE grades above what might have been expected compared to their starting points at the start of year 7, for each one of their GCSE courses:
