Excellent Sixth Form results for our latest graduates
Congratulations to the class of 2022!
Students, families and staff at Hatcham Sixth Form are celebrating excellent A-Level and Level 3 vocational results today. 25% of all grades were A*-A, and almost 50% were A*-B. Many departments secured results beating national averages in the A*-A and A*-B categories and deserve recognition for this: the Art department secured 40% A*-A and 80% A*-B, English secured 38% A*-A, Geography secured 46% A*-A and 77% A*-B, Government and Politics secured 45% A*-A and 64% A*- B, History secured 51% A*-A and 77% A*-B, Photography secured 80% A*-A and 90% A*-B, Sociology secured 42% A*-A and Spanish secured 100% A*-B.
Throughout the year Hatcham departments have provided additional support opportunities before, during and after school to support this cohort of young people who missed out on sitting public examinations in year 11. The combination of student effort and support from the school, has secured excellent outcomes for our students.
55% of students have secured their first choice place at university, 19% of those at Russell Group universities.

Lucy B has will be reading English at St Catherine's College, University of Cambridge, and three students, Jessica A-B, Aminah N and Zakariya N have secured places on medicine or medicine related courses.
There are also a number of students who deserve mention for their phenomenal achievements. Achieving a clean sweep of A* were Hannah T; Eden M; Brendan A; Maggie G; Edie C and Lucy B.
These students have had huge disruption to their secondary education, but their determination, and their teachers’ commitment have resulted in the success that they so deserve. We are enormously proud of all of our students for their efforts and achievements this year, and we wish them all the best in their varied and interesting futures.
