Exceptional GCSE and BTEC results - Class of 2022

Following on from an excellent performance in A Level outcomes last week, Haberdasher’s Hatcham College would like to congratulate all of our Year 11 students on their exceptional performance in their GCSE and BTEC qualifications this year. We are delighted with the results of the first set of external examinations since 2019 and are incredibly proud of each and every student and how they have navigated their way through the challenges and disruption to their education during the last two years as a result of the pandemic. 

The results for Year 11 are the best results that the school has received for an exam period since the reformed GCSE’s were introduced in 2015. Overall, a staggering 34% of grades were awarded at a Grade 7 or above! We are proud that the number of students who passed English and Mathematics has increased by 15% since the last exam results in 2019.

 Our Year 11 students have shown such resilience and determination and approached their studies and exams with a positive mindset and deserve this success. It has been a privilege to support and guide them during this time and we would like to thank them, their families and our staff for working together in very challenging circumstances.

Nationally in 2019, 626 students achieved nine grade 9’s in their GCSE’s (0.1%), we are really proud to celebrate that in this year’s cohort seven students managed to achieve this accolade. A huge congratulations to Rosie B, Eleanor E, Marlena VDP, Natasha A, Willow J, Dita R and Quentin T!

A reminder for all Year 11’s that enrolment for the Hatcham College Sixth Form is taking place at the Pepys Site (SE14 5SF) this afternoon until 16:30 and tomorrow morning from 09:00 and 14:00.
