Sixth Form Results 2020

Haberdashers’ Aske’s Hatcham College are extremely proud of our hard working and studious Sixth Form pupils and their excellent achievements this year. This academic year has been a unique experience for the country and in particularly for our young adults completing their Post-16 education. All of the teachers and support staff at Hatcham College are very pleased that, despite new challenges, our pupils hard work and excellent attitudes to their education have been recognised this year and wish them the very best in the next stages of their lives.

Hatcham College is proud that our pupils have, again, achieved strong academic results with over a third of all grades being A*-B. But it is not just qualifications in traditional A Level subjects that have performed well this year with our newly introduced vocational and applied general qualifications also achieving high results with many students being awarded Distinctions on their courses. Some key highlights include that subjects in Art, Photography and Spanish have secured an average A Level Grade of A. Music, History, Sociology, Mathematics and Further Mathematics have achieved an average A Level Grade of B. The percentage of A* - B in Sociology was 70% which is very good indeed.

Seema Solani, Principal, commented, “We are so proud of the progress that our students have made demonstrating their determination, resilience and self-belief. There have been so many individual highlights. The staff have worked hard and joined our young people on each and every personal journey to success.”

18 students have secured places at Russell Group Universities, a total of 66 students secured their first choice University at this stage. Many of our pupils are Hatcham College have achieved the top grades of A*s and As this year but a few truly stand out performances that we would like to recognise are the performance of our Head Girl, Emilia C B who achieved A*AB and is going on to study History at Oxford University, our Head Boy, Folami I who achieved AAA in his Mock examinations securing a place at Homerton College, University of Cambridge, Uwaila E who has successfully secured a place to study the very competitive degree of Medicine at Cardiff University this year.

Our Careers Adviser, Theo Shenbanjo also added that, “We are very proud our Apprenticeship / School Leaver contingent as a number of our students are entering into the world of work. Kevin O will be starting his media and technology start-up and Kofi A will be pursuing an apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying and we are really proud of them and the whole year group”.
