Trinity Laban Strings Side-by-Side Project

20 string players from Years 7-9 at Haberdashers' Hatcham College performed with the Trinity Laban Sinfonia Strings in March 2024, along with three other local schools, as part of a public side-by-side lunchtime concert at St Alfege Church in Greenwich. The project, which first started in November 2023, has been a huge success where students have had extra string coaching with Mr Taing, along with music faculty supported by conservatoire students from Trinity Laban. The students also showcased their performance in the school's Spring Concert, featured as part of the Telegraph Hill Festival.

Students have had the opportunity to perform two world premieres, 'Isolated Moments' and 'Londinium', created for the occasion by Nathen Durasamy with fifteen young composers at Leigh Academy Blackheath.
