Meet Kiann

There are so many facilities and spaces for studying both in groups and independently - I think this makes Hatcham Sixth Form very unique.

Meet Kiann, an aspiring pyschology student. She talks about the challenges of a-levels and what makes Hatcham College special to her.

What subjects are you studying and what do you want to do after Sixth Form?

I am studying Applied Science, Business Studies and Psychology. I am planning to go to university next year to study a degree in Psychology at Kingston. I enjoy Psychology because it allows me to better understand behaviour and mental processes.

What is unique about Hatcham Sixth Form?

There are so many facilities and spaces for studying both in groups and independently - I think this makes Hatcham Sixth Form very unique. Also, the careers support is brilliant. They provide guidance and advice and really encourage us to find careers we enjoy. This support was most helpful when choosing my degree course at Kingston.

What’s been the most challenging thing about doing A-levels so far?

The most challenging thing about my subjects is remembering all the parts of the key concepts within them. I have overcome this challenge by using the resources that the school has provided me with, such as revision guides, to aid me in remembering and recalling content learnt in class.

What has been a highlight of your time at Hatcham Sixth Form?

It was fantastic to positively return to education after the lockdown to be encouraged, supported and given opportunities to revive our learning by the college. This was a massive highlight for me.
