Meet Nathan

For me, the strengths of Hatcham are the extracurricular activities, including the opportunity to do my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, the UCAS support sessions after school and the careers guidance.

Nathan talks about applying for university and completing the Duke of Edinburgh award

What subjects are you studying?

I am studying English Literature, Biology and History. I am planning to go to Greenwich University or Goldsmiths University to study Criminology with Psychology next year.

Why did you choose to stay at Hatcham Sixth Form?

I have been at Hatcham since reception, which played a big factor in deciding to go to Hatcham Sixth form. I couldn’t imagine better teaching or support offered to students anywhere else.

Can you tell us about the strengths of Hatcham Sixth Form?

For me, the strengths of Hatcham are the extracurricular activities, including the opportunity to do my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, the UCAS support sessions after school and the careers guidance.

I have had a lot of support to complete my UCAS application and write my personal statement. The teachers have great experience with everything UCAS related and they have given me an insight into which universities I should apply to.

What has been a highlight of your time at Hatcham Sixth Form

A particular highlight has been embarking on the journey towards Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. It has allowed me to learn important life skills through the award.
