We were very lucky to be joined by Tobenna Isaac Onyirioha from Trinity Laban who worked with 7 our of pianists from Years 7-13 in a masterclass in the Jerningham Hall. Our students received some feedback from Isaac and were serenated to a programme by Isaac entitled ‘Worldly Rhythms’, showcasing works by Philip Glass, Claude Debussy, Fredric Chopin, Joshua Uzoigwe and Scott Joplin/Jacob Koller. Professional Jazz Workshop - Tuesday 27th February 2024

We were very lucky to be joined by four fantastic professional musicians who led a jazz workshop on Tuesday afternoon. 40 of our talented students took part from Year 8 to 12 and the room was buzzing with Latin grooves, singing and improvisation- we look forward to sharing what we worked on at the fast-approaching Spring Concert. Thank you so much to Ollie, Luke, Georgina and Joe for sharing your wisdoms on the music industry and all things jazz. We even had a jam at the end with a wonderful solo -Nile Rogers style from Callum (Year 10). A special mention to Ti-Jean (Year 12) for stepping up and playing with the band

Thanks to Miss McMichael for organising the first of these musician workshops we are organising.
