An Outstanding Education in the heart of South London
Welcome to the Sixth Form at Haberdashers’ Aske’s Hatcham College where we truly believe that all young people have the right to an ‘outstanding’ education and everyone can achieve their potential.
Hatcham Sixth Form encourages applications from both internal and external students. We offer a wide range of courses, most of which are A Levels, so that every student experiences a strongly academic education with student progress and achievement at the heart of our values. We are committed to delivering personalised pathways and destinations for all, with our student body consistently being offered the largest number of Russell Group and Oxbridge places of any south east London school and an increasing number of students opting to take up the best apprenticeships and school leaver programmes in the country.
We pride ourselves on our award-winning career and higher education guidance and the unique opportunities students can access via our substantial links with the Haberdashers' livery company. We value all pathways and are proud of the diversity and achievements of our students, alumni and staff.
Our A Level results in 2018 once again placed us as the leading post-16 provider in Lewisham and nearby, with student progress from their GCSE starting points above national average. Almost every single subject last year achieved progress outcomes that were above national average and one subject, Philosophy, had the highest progress score in the whole country! This means that A-level students at Hatcham do better than they would have done in any other school. This year, five students are going on to study at Oxford or Cambridge.
At the heart of our establishment is The Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, one of the oldest and most respected educational providers in the country whose origin dates back hundreds of years. Steeped in tradition, a Haberdashers' education goes beyond teaching, with every student member becoming a lifetime member of the Haberdasher family where they benefit from unrivalled networking and support opportunities.
